Wedding Open Day – Saturday 6th January 2018
Our first wedding open day of the year is always a big one; we are always anticipating a lot of new couples attending our open day… After all, statistics say that 100,000 marriage proposals happen over the Christmas season… A third of all 2018 engagements! Obviously we weren’t expecting 100,000 couples to turn up at 12pm on Saturday 6th January haha however we were expecting a fair few! We had such a wonderful turn out on the day with guests arriving as early at 11.15am, although a little early we cant complain with only handful of dates for 2018 remaining!
As always, we had bubbly on arrival and a selection of our canapés on the day, which went down a treat with everyone (including us). We tried to incorporate a main meal dish to our canapés this time, we opted for our delicious starter, Colston Basset panna cotta with candid walnut and pear poached in port Madeira and one of our most popular main meal dishes, Rosemary roasted chicken with dauphinoise potato, wilted greens, béarnaise sauce and a chicken wing jus’ along with, Mini fillet beef Rossini with truffle and pate served en croute, Sticky pressed pork with bourbon smoked BBQ glaze and apple slaw and Chilli Crab croquets with bravas sauce.
