Celebrating International Women’s Day with incredible women at The Old Vicarage - creativity, connection, and inspiration in abundance!
This Thursday, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting a truly special International Women’s Day event at The Old Vicarage. It was a day filled with connection, creativity, and collaboration - a celebration of the incredible women who continue to shape and inspire their industries.
We brought together female entrepreneurs, creatives, and business owners from a wide range of backgrounds. The event provided a space to work, network, and share ideas in a supportive and inspiring environment. From designers to wellness experts, florists to content creators, and event planners to brand specialists, it was an honour to witness so many talented women coming together under one roof.
The morning began with a refreshing apple and ginger shot, a protein ball, and plenty of warm introductions. As guests arrived, The Old Vicarage quickly became a hub of energy, with conversations flowing as effortlessly as the coffee - it was wonderful to see new connections forming right from the start.
The first part of the day was a chance to settle in, focus, and create. Whether attendees chose to work independently or engage in conversations with like-minded women, the atmosphere was one of productivity and mutual encouragement. Watching women from different industries share ideas, brainstorm, and support one another was a powerful reminder of why these spaces are so essential. There may have been more conversation than work, but it was exactly what we all needed – good for the soul.
At lunchtime, we gathered around the table for a delicious meal: Chicken Caesar Salad with crispy pancetta, Parmesan, homemade croutons, and warm focaccia, followed by a dreamy homemade tiramisu. It was the perfect opportunity to pause, refuel, and enjoy the company of other attendees.
As the day drew to a close, there was a tangible sense of inspiration in the air. Plans for future collaborations were made, and a new network of support was built.
We were also incredibly proud to support Nottingham Women’s Centre through the sale of beautiful hand-tied bouquets, lovingly crafted by a talented friend and attendee - The Sunday Floral Studio. All profits are going towards their vital work. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this cause. We’re excited to continue supporting them and hope to sell more bouquets at today’s Mother’s Day Mini Shoot.
Thursday was more than just an event; it was a celebration of ambition, resilience, and community. To every woman who joined us – thank you for bringing your energy, ideas, and passion. You made this day unforgettable.

Our strength comes from a long line of fierce women, none more inspiring than Joanie, 91, who embodies grace, independence, and boundless energy. On this special day, we honour her and all the women who paved the way, while looking ahead to the next generation of strong women - our daughters and granddaughters.
