ABOUT

The Old Vicarage is a beautiful Victorian country house set in two acres of an elegant conservation area in the historic town of Southwell, just 30 minutes away from Nottingham. Southwell is a bustling market town, flourished with businesses and local accommodation for your guests to enjoy.

The Old Vicarage was formerly a Vicarage linked to the local Holy Trinity Church from 1847 to 1946, when it was then sold to the Nottingham County Council who subsequently opened its doors to guests as a retirement home and respite care. Sadly, for the local community this was closed in 1999 and the once admired building unfortunately stood empty for several years, therefore the building went into disrepair but was extensively refurbished in 2005 by the family who still run and care for the business today, continuing to invest and evolve this special building.

Our beautiful Vicarage is utterly private and exclusively yours on your wedding day. The moment you arrive at the gates of our gravel drive, you’ll notice the tranquility. Abundant laurels, lavender, anemones, and delicate daffodils bloom in spring.

Every wedding is unique and exclusive and  getting married at The Old Vicarage is like taking over a country house all to yourself. Think of us as your home away from home – with all the luxuries.

Here at The Old Vicarage, we have found our niche; our delightful Vicarage is the perfect place for your intimate wedding.
