Unique and Elegant: Monthly Wedding Inspirations and Trends We Adore

A monthly collection exploring wedding trends from around the globe, we adore from social media and beyond.

Our wonderful friend Megan Murray has been chatting with some of the amazing industry experts we collaborate with locally. We thought it would be great to share a monthly roundup, not just of trends, but also of things we're personally loving and hope to see at The Old Vicarage.

We're constantly inspired by the vibrant world of social media. Each month, we'll curate a stunning Journal featuring posts we adore from Pinterest, Instagram, and TikTok, drawing inspiration from around the globe.

We'll be sharing a wide variety of content, from engagements and dresses to styling, photography styles, and memorable moments!

We aim to inspire our couples and readers to think outside the box, personalise their special day, and feel confident in being authentically themselves!

Our beautiful Vicarage is the perfect blank canvas, and while neutral tones complement our aesthetic, we're particularly captivated by an earthy colour palette. This includes not just cream and beige, but also beautiful blues, greens, soft pink and butter yellow.

Mono Bouquet  Wedding Inspirations and Trends

We are captivated by the lovely charm of a mono bouquet. Its simplicity and elegance are unparalleled, offering ample creativity and fluidity with your wedding dress. In this arrangement, Botlea has paired the most delightful cosmos, our summer favourites, with a beautifully voluminous sleeve. We'd love to see more of this style of bouquet—so pure and effortlessly beautiful!

Ten Story Wedding Stationery

Illustration x Graphic Design

Wedding stationery is often envisioned as elegant, simplistic, and uniform, which we absolutely love. However, it's been refreshing to see a more playful side of graphic design and illustration merge to create something unique and personalised.

We think that this is a trend will continue to evolve and won't be going away anytime soon!

A Moment

We always love seeing our couples incorporate features around The Old Vicarage, usually with flowers. Recently, however, we've been inspired to move away from focusing solely on traditional focal points like the fireplace and staircase. Instead, we've become captivated by the idea of a beautifully dressed table with multiple uses. Imagine an elegant table for cake, champagne, and reception drinks that you can move throughout the day, creating intimate moments that reflect your unique energy and creativity on your special day.

Motion Blur

There is something undeniably captivating about a wedding photo that captures a sense of movement. These dynamic shots convey joy and delight, turning moments into a poetic romance. The subtle blur of a twirling dress, the carefree laughter of the couple in motion, or the lively dance of guests - all these elements breathe life into the images, making them feel more vivid and emotionally resonant. These photos not only document the day's events but also encapsulate the energy and spontaneity of the celebration, creating timeless memories that exude happiness and love.

Al Fresco

We are eagerly anticipating the perfect opportunity for one of our couples to enjoy outside dining on our lawn. There's something quintessentially English summer about it: dining al fresco with your dearest family and friends while savouring your delicious wedding breakfast.

Colour, Textures and Patterns

We would love to see more of our couples feel bold enough to fully express themselves by experimenting with a variety of textures, colours, and patterns. Embracing diverse design elements can add a unique and personal touch to your wedding, making it truly reflective of your individuality. Imagine the vibrancy of rich, contrasting hues, the tactile delight of mixed fabrics, and the visual intrigue of varied patterns coming together to create an unforgettable atmosphere. By stepping outside traditional boundaries and exploring these creative possibilities, you can create a wedding experience that is as distinctive and dynamic as your love story.

Utilising different crockery can really elevate your wedding styling - perhaps incorporating some colour with the use of tablecloths, fruit, candles, glassware or napkins.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have an abundance of inspiration and talent right at our fingertips. We hope you're feeling as inspired as we are.
