A celebration of nature’s elegance - untamed, delicate, and alive. This summer, we invite couples to experience The Old Vicarage in full bloom - where graceful chaos meets thoughtful detail. Inspired by the “Wild & Textural” florals, this concept blends natural beauty with quiet luxury.

There’s something truly special about seeing The Old Vicarage in its summer skin - soft light on old stone, the gardens wild and reaching, and the air thick with possibility.
Our Summer Wedding Open Day, Wild Grace, was a celebration of just that - nature’s elegance in its most untamed, poetic form. Inspired by the idea of wild and textural beauty, the day was filled with soft moments and quiet luxury.

We were joined by the most wonderful team - a blend of trusted creatives and fresh new faces. Working collaboratively with each one of them was such a joy. It’s always a privilege to see how others interpret the space and bring their own artistry into the fold. There’s a certain kind of magic that happens when everyone leans into a shared vision with care and curiosity.

Spotlight: Studio Porter
Working in the wedding industry, we often find ourselves drawn to creatives long before we’ve even met them - captivated by their work, their ethos, and the quiet strength behind their vision. Hannah of Studio Porter is one of those rare individuals whose reputation precedes her. Her styling is deeply thoughtful, layered with detail, and guided by an eye for quiet beauty that aligns so effortlessly with our own.

Having admired her from afar, we were overjoyed to finally welcome her into The Old Vicarage. Her presence on the day was as calm and assured as her work - and the spaces she created were nothing short of magic. Each surface, vessel, and fabric placement felt intentional yet effortless, breathing life into every corner of the house and garden.

Spotlight: Ray Ray Flowers
Floristry is such a personal art – it requires intuition, creativity, and an ability to translate feeling into something tangible. From our very first conversation with Rachel, we knew she had all of that and more. The founder of Ray Ray Flowers, a London-based floral design studio, Rachel brought not only her warm, grounded presence but also a beautiful versatility to the table – with an instinctive feel for flowers and a portfolio rich in variety and texture.
Her focus lies in creating artfully curated wedding and event florals, with a signature style that feels romantic, sculptural and effortlessly elegant. Ray Ray Flowers is known for contemporary, nature-inspired arrangements, and has collaborated with brands such as Vogue, Space NK, Hourglass, Adanola, Rixo, Lancaster Monaco, Skinceuticals, and more – from intimate press dinners to large-scale installations and unforgettable weddings.

What truly stood out was how she understood the Wild Grace concept and gently evolved it into something entirely her own, while still remaining in harmony with the wider vision. Her arrangements had a soft, organic elegance that felt as though they’d been gathered from just beyond the garden gate – a perfect reflection of the day we hoped to create.
For our Wedding Open Day, Rachel curated a stunning combination of seasonal elements: textural grasses, dill, sorrel, smoke bush, hydrangeas, crème brûlée phlox, delicate jasmine vines, and hints of soft yellow scabious. Every stem felt intentional – layered, nuanced, and full of quiet beauty.

Her collection is full of timeless treasures - from cut-glassware to handcrafted ceramics - and her instinct for what works in a space is second to none.

Spotlight: Hold Studio
Charlotte, the creative mind behind Hold Studio, brings such a refined elegance to everything she creates. Her design work feels timeless yet modern - rooted in considered simplicity and an understanding of tactile beauty.
For Wild Grace, Charlotte brought a softer, more romantic side of her style to life. She crafted linen menus and name tags by hand, gently fraying the edges of each piece to create a raw yet delicate finish. Every detail - from the paper stock to the typography - was intentional, and the result was stationery that felt quietly poetic.
Her work added depth and texture to the tablescapes in a way that felt effortlessly aligned with the wider styling.

Spotlight: The Orchid Kitchen
A beautiful wedding experience should engage every sense - and when it came to something sweet, Joanna from The Orchid Kitchen brought just the right balance of flavour, texture, and thoughtfulness to the day.
Her signature shortbread was delicately buttery and perfectly crisp, while the rich chocolate and sour cherry cake offered a deeper, more indulgent note - a subtle nod to celebration without stealing the spotlight. It was all so elegantly understated, yet unforgettable.
Joanna’s bakes have a way of feeling both comforting and elevated - much like the brand she’s so lovingly built. Every slice and bite reflected her skill and quiet artistry.

Spotlight: Bowness Studio
There’s something incredibly special about the way Bowness Studio captures moments - not just the visuals, but the feeling behind them. Having the team with us on the day meant more than documenting the details; it was about preserving the atmosphere, the intention, and the quiet in-between moments that so often go unseen.
Their approach is intuitive and deeply artistic, with a gentle presence that never disturbs the flow of the day. Instead, they move seamlessly within the space - observing, listening, and capturing with an editorial eye and a warm heart. The result? Film and imagery that feel cinematic yet honest - a true reflection of the experience, framed with care and clarity.
They even projected a short film onto the walls of The Old Vicarage - a moment that left our guests completely captivated. There was something so moving and immersive about seeing the day unfold through their lens, and it reminded us of the enduring magic of wedding film.
If we could recommend couples invest in one thing - it would be this. Photographs preserve the stillness; film brings it back to life.

Throughout the house and gardens, Berlioz played gently through the Sonos system - setting a calm, romantic rhythm for the day. Guests wandered slowly with botanical-infused drinks in hand, taking in the details at their own pace: layered tablescapes dressed in natural linens, loose florals spilling from terracotta urns, and candlelight flickering in shaded corners.
We served a small selection of summer canapés from our kitchen, each one crafted with the same attention we give our weddings:
• Crab Bon Bon with lemon and chive mayonnaise and micro coriander
• Baby mozzarella on air-dried tomato bruschetta with basil pesto and micro basil
• Smoked salmon macaron with crème cheese, cucumber concassé, lemon gel and dill
• Mediterranean duck Bon Bon with spiced plum gel and a sweetcorn fritter
It’s always the little things that make a day like this feel special - handwritten welcome notes, a soft sound in the background, delicate drinks dressed with herbs and edible flowers. Details that feel meaningful but never overstated. Thoughtful, but not too curated.
We’re so grateful to every couple who visited, and to every creative who helped us bring Wild Grace to life. This open day wasn’t about polished perfection - it was about emotion, connection, and showing what’s possible when a space is held with heart.
Until next time,
The Old Vicarage
